Robin Ruzan is a name familiar to many fans of 1990s and early-2000s comedy, particularly those interested in the world surrounding Mike Myers and films such as Wayne’s World and the Austin Powers series. Although much of the public discussion about Robin Ruzan has centered on her former marriage to Mike Myers, her own connection to the entertainment industry is also an important part of her story. IMDb identifies her as a producer, writer, and actress and associates her with Wayne’s World (1992), Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999), and Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002).
Born Robin Patricia Ruzansky on February 22, 1964, in Forest Hills, New York, Ruzan has maintained a relatively private public profile. Her biography is therefore different from that of a traditional Hollywood celebrity whose personal and professional lives have been extensively documented. Much of the reliable information available about her comes from entertainment databases and documented connections to film projects.
Her story is particularly interesting because it combines a career in entertainment with a highly public relationship involving one of comedy’s recognizable performers. At the same time, there are limits to what can responsibly be said about her private life. This biography brings together the verified information available about Robin Ruzan, including her early background, career, family, marriage to Mike Myers, divorce, and documented trivia.

The basic biographical information above is drawn primarily from IMDb’s current biography information. IMDb lists her birth date, birthplace, birth name, height, occupations, family information, and relationship with Mike Myers.
Robin Ruzan’s Early Life And Childhood
Robin Ruzan was born in Forest Hills, New York, on February 22, 1964. Her birth name was Robin Patricia Ruzansky, while Robin Ruzan became the professional name by which she was publicly known. IMDb lists her height as 5 feet 8 inches, or approximately 1.73 meters.
There is comparatively little reliable public information about her childhood, schooling, and early years. That is an important point when researching Robin Ruzan because many online biographies repeat personal details without clearly identifying their sources. A responsible biography should not fill those gaps with speculation. What can be established from reputable entertainment information is that Ruzan eventually became involved in the entertainment business and developed credits as a producer, writer, and actress.
Her New York background also places her early story within a city with a long tradition of comedy, theater, television, and film. However, there is not enough reliable public documentation to describe her childhood experiences in detail. Keeping that distinction clear helps make a Robin Ruzan biography more accurate rather than simply longer.
Robin Ruzan’s Family Background
Family is another area where publicly confirmed information is limited. IMDb identifies Linda Richman as Robin Ruzan’s mother. This connection is particularly notable because Linda Richman later became recognizable to audiences through Mike Myers’ comedy work.
Mike Myers’ IMDb trivia notes that his Saturday Night Live character Linda Richman was based on his former mother-in-law, providing additional context for the connection between Ruzan’s family and Myers’ comedy career.
Beyond this documented relationship, detailed information about Robin Ruzan’s wider family is not extensively available from major public sources. For that reason, claims about siblings, childhood family circumstances, or other relatives should be treated cautiously unless supported by reliable documentation. Her family story is better understood through the information that can actually be verified.
How Robin Ruzan Met Mike Myers
One of the most frequently discussed parts of Robin Ruzan’s biography is how she met Mike Myers. IMDb’s biography and trivia information says the two met in 1987 following a hockey game at which Myers caught a puck.
Mike Myers’ own IMDb trivia gives additional context, stating that Myers described meeting his future wife in a bar after attending a hockey game where he caught a puck. While the exact telling of the story has appeared in slightly different forms, the central fact is consistent: a hockey game played a role in the beginning of their relationship.
The story has remained one of the more memorable pieces of Robin Ruzan trivia because it offers a simple and unexpected beginning to a relationship that later became connected to a major comedy star. Their relationship eventually led to marriage in 1993.
Robin Ruzan And Mike Myers’ Marriage
Robin Ruzan and Mike Myers married in 1993. IMDb lists May 22, 1993, as the beginning of their marriage and August 9, 2006, as the end, with the relationship recorded as divorced.
The marriage lasted roughly 13 years according to those dates, although IMDb’s trivia describes Ruzan as filing for divorce after 12 years of marriage. The difference is likely connected to the timing of the divorce filing versus the final end of the marriage, so these dates should not be treated as contradictory without additional legal documentation.
One detail that makes Robin Ruzan’s marriage story distinctive is that she reportedly kept her maiden name after marrying Myers. IMDb specifically records this as a piece of trivia.
Robin Ruzan’s Divorce From Mike Myers
The marriage between Robin Ruzan and Mike Myers eventually ended in divorce. IMDb records August 9, 2006, as the end date and states that Ruzan filed for divorce.
There is limited reliable public information about the private circumstances behind the divorce. That makes it inappropriate to present rumors or unsupported explanations as established facts. A useful Robin Ruzan biography should therefore focus on what is documented rather than speculate about why the relationship ended.
The divorce marked the end of a significant chapter in Ruzan’s public story. Because Mike Myers became a major international comedy figure, their marriage naturally attracted attention. However, Robin Ruzan’s identity should not be reduced solely to being Mike Myers’ former wife. Her own professional connection to film and entertainment deserves separate attention.
Robin Ruzan’s Career In Entertainment
IMDb currently identifies Robin Ruzan as a producer, writer, and actress. Her profile is particularly associated with several successful comedy productions from the 1990s and early 2000s.
One of the clearest examples of her screen work is Wayne’s World. IMDb’s complete credits for the 1992 film list Robin Ruzan as a waitress. This is an important distinction because her IMDb biography describes her as a producer and writer while the Wayne’s World credits specifically document her acting appearance.
Her professional identity is therefore broader than a single acting role. At the same time, the available sources do not provide enough information to reconstruct every stage of her career or assign specific producing and writing responsibilities to every project with which her name is associated. Keeping those details separate makes her career history more accurate.
Robin Ruzan And Wayne’s World
Wayne’s World was released in 1992 and became one of the defining comedy films associated with Mike Myers and the early 1990s. The film starred Myers as Wayne Campbell and Dana Carvey as Garth Algar. IMDb’s full credits list Robin Ruzan among the cast as a waitress.
Her involvement in Wayne’s World is therefore one of the concrete pieces of evidence connecting Robin Ruzan to the entertainment screen. The film also helps explain why her name appears in searches related to Mike Myers’ career and comedy history.
Rather than suggesting that Ruzan was one of the principal creative forces behind the movie, it is more accurate to say that she had a documented acting connection to the production while IMDb also identifies her more broadly as a producer and writer. This distinction is useful for readers who want an accurate Robin Ruzan career profile.
Robin Ruzan And The Austin Powers Films
Robin Ruzan is also associated by IMDb with Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me from 1999 and Austin Powers in Goldmember from 2002. These films belong to the comedy franchise that helped make Mike Myers an international star.
Her association with the Austin Powers series is part of the reason her name continues to appear in searches involving the franchise. However, available public information does not justify assigning her a particular creative responsibility on those films unless a specific production credit confirms it.
The connection is still notable because Austin Powers became an important part of the comedy landscape of its era. IMDb also lists Ruzan among the special thanks credits for Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, the first film in the series, providing another documented connection between her and the franchise.
Robin Ruzan’s Work As A Writer And Producer
Calling Robin Ruzan a writer and producer is supported by her IMDb profile, which lists those occupations alongside acting. However, the publicly accessible information does not provide enough detail to tell a complete story about when she began producing, how she developed those skills, or every project she worked on.
That limited documentation is worth acknowledging rather than overlooking. Many online profiles turn a short entertainment biography into a detailed career narrative without showing where the additional information came from. In Ruzan’s case, the strongest approach is to distinguish her documented professional titles from individual film credits.
Her career nevertheless demonstrates that she has had a place within the entertainment industry independent of her personal relationship with Mike Myers. That is an important perspective when considering the full Robin Ruzan biography.
Robin Ruzan’s Life Outside The Spotlight
Robin Ruzan has maintained a comparatively low public profile. Unlike Mike Myers, whose acting, writing, producing, and television work have generated extensive media coverage, Ruzan has not had the same volume of publicly documented personal information.
This privacy means that current details about her everyday life, relationships, residence, and personal activities should not be assumed simply because they appear on lesser-known websites. As of 2026, the reliable public material available for this profile remains focused primarily on her biography, entertainment connections, and former marriage.
For readers, this is an important lesson in researching celebrity-adjacent figures. Being connected to a famous person does not mean every personal detail circulating online is accurate. Robin Ruzan’s story is best presented through information that can be traced to credible sources.
Robin Ruzan’s Personal Interests And Trivia
Several small details make Robin Ruzan’s biography more memorable. Her reported meeting with Mike Myers after a hockey game is one of the most frequently repeated pieces of trivia. Another is her decision to retain her maiden name after their marriage in 1993.
Her family connection to Linda Richman is another noteworthy detail, especially because Myers’ famous Saturday Night Live Linda Richman character was based on his former mother-in-law.
Ruzan is also connected to Wayne’s World through a documented acting credit. IMDb’s complete film credits list her as a waitress in the movie. Together, these details create a picture of someone whose career and personal history intersected with some of the most recognizable comedy projects associated with Mike Myers.
What Is Robin Ruzan Doing Today?
Information about Robin Ruzan’s current activities is limited. There is no strong body of widely reported recent material that provides a detailed account of her professional or personal life in 2026. Consequently, it would be misleading to invent a current career path or claim that she is actively involved in a particular project without reliable evidence.
What can be said is that Robin Ruzan remains a figure of interest because of her documented entertainment career and her historical connection to Mike Myers. Her IMDb profile continues to identify her as a producer, writer, and actress, while her known associations include Wayne’s World and the Austin Powers films.
For anyone researching Robin Ruzan today, the best approach is to separate confirmed historical information from claims about her current life that lack strong sourcing.
Final Thoughts
Robin Ruzan’s life story is more nuanced than the simple description of her as Mike Myers’ former wife. She has her own documented place in the entertainment world as a producer, writer, and actress, and her name is connected with important comedy productions from the 1990s and 2000s. IMDb specifically associates her with Wayne’s World, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and Austin Powers in Goldmember.
Her marriage to Myers naturally became an important part of her public biography, but it is only one chapter. Her connection to Wayne’s World is supported by a specific acting credit, while her broader IMDb profile identifies her professional roles as producer, writer, and actress.
Perhaps the most useful way to understand Robin Ruzan is to recognize both what is known and what remains private. Her birth details, professional identification, film associations, family connection to Linda Richman, and marriage to Mike Myers are documented. Much of her personal life, however, has remained away from the public spotlight. That combination of a recognizable entertainment connection and a relatively private life continues to make Robin Ruzan an interesting subject for readers researching her biography, career, family, and life story.
